No time to run lately

The past couple of weeks have been tough running weeks for me. I have begun subbing for our school district and leave the house before the sun is up and when I get home at night I want to help out my wife, who stays at home all day with our daughter, as much as I can. Subbing helps provide extra income that my wife and I are now dependent on. Without having a treadmill it. Has made it next to impossible to squeeze a run in. Can't wait for the time change so there is more hours of daylight. I am hoping to be able to get out today after I get done subbing.

  2. I would suggest that you don't wait for the daylight bro. Just like my spiritual disciplines, I have to make it a priority by by getting up early. My alarm usually goes off at 4:15am. I hit the streets and get my run in before my family wakes up. I have to do it that way for two reasons: 1) My running is not taking much time away from them and 2) Once the day starts, it's usually non-stop until my head hits the pillow at night. It seems like something will always get in the way of my run in the afternoon.
I've gotten to enjoy running the dark empty streets.(I wear the appropriate gear to be seen!) It's good time with the Lord.
Just my thoughts as a follower of Christ, husband, father of 3, pastor, ultra-runner....

  3. My trouble is that I live in the middle of the country. Even during the day I would see 3 or 4 cars. There is no light whatsoever out there. I guess I am going to have to figure something out.
