Cubs/Brewers Running Challenge - Series 1 Game 1 Recap

Last night was a tough night. I had a board meeting that went long and didn't get over until almost 9:00PM. I rushed to my office and grabbed my things and practically sprinted to across the parking lot. I got into the car and hit AM and then tuned it to 720 to listen to WGN Radio. Within minute I heard the bad news that the Cubs were trailing the Brew Crew. By the time I got home the damage was 7-3 and it was the 7th inning.
Like the Cubbies always do, they came back within 2 and had bases loaded with 2 outs. We had our best hitter on the team at the plate and what does he do? Strikes out looking. Nothing makes me more upset than watching a professional player watch the final pitch of the game. Why? You're paid millions of dollars to play...at least foul it off. C'mon! So the final score was 7-5.
So Allison is 1 game up on me and so far if my Cubbies lose the series and the Brewers don't score more than 7 runs...I'll be doing a 7 mile run next week for our little competition.

If you would like to read more about Allison and I's friendly competition check out my original blog HERE or her's located HERE.

  1. Sounds like you're already planning your run of shame!

Last night's game was too close for comfort. I was a little nervous, not gonna lie!
