Week 1 Day 2 - 100 Pushup Challenge

The bad thing about challenging yourself to do the most pushups that you possibly end on the ground and eventually have to get up!

I did my pushups on the floor of my office today while no one else was in the office I had some free time. I started Week 1 Day 2 of the 7 week challenge and definitely felt it today. My schedule had me doing 10, 12, 8, 8, 12+. I went into it a little bit cocky because Monday's pushups weren't the worst things in the world and I wasn't THAT sore, but today when I finished I could barely pick myself up off the ground.

I started using the iPhone app today to log my workouts and I really like it. Here are a few screenshots from me using it today.

If you're going through this challenge it is a great app to use compared to the old pen & paper or Excel worksheet. I like how it gives you the option to share your workout when you finish each day...because seriously...when you finish each day you deserve to brag a little! 

My only issue I've ran in to is that for the last set it want you to "max out" each day, but instead of asking you to input how many you were able to "max out" it just puts the minimum # for the workout. Today my  final set was 12+...I did 13, but it only counted it as 12. So my total pushup # won't be 100% accurate throughout the program. Not a huge deal, but just something I noticed.

    You should be able to tap & adjust any of the reps at the top of the screen (in your case 10 12 8 8 12) - try it next time and let me know if it works.

  2. I agree--the app has been great in tracking my pushups!

    I'm doing the Level 1 program, and was surprised that I was able to knock out 16 standard pushups yesterday! I've been so worried I'll have to drop to girl pushups--they just don't seem as rewarding. :-/
